The Cairo Swordsman is a minor character who appears in the film *Raiders of the Lost Ark* (1981), the first installment of the Indiana Jones franchise.

He is a skilled swordsman who confronts Indiana Jones in a crowded Cairo marketplace. He performs a flamboyant demonstration of his swordsmanship, brandishing a large scimitar and theatrically menacing the archaeologist.

In a humorous and unexpected moment, Indiana Jones, unimpressed and tired, simply pulls out his revolver and shoots the Swordsman, ending the potential fight swiftly and anticlimactically.
